I work in Finance and I see Python as a clear replacement of the spreadsheet. Many collegues already use it and I am afraid of being left out due to my lack of expertise.
I wonder if this is happening in other industries.

I am studing Physics degree at University.
Fortran used to be the standard, but now many professors are moving to Python (numpy) so that´s why I am learning it.

I think if you know Python YOu will be more marketable. Is in high demand!
